you used to spell everything out for me
write the words upon my skin
but now you've lost your ability to write
or read, or something. the words are jumbled,
and two plus two doesn't equal four.

seesaws and water slides
and orange umbrellas too, they are some of your
favorite things, but you've never
catapulted on a seesaw
or fell down a water slide
and you've never had the the courage to stand outside
and dance in the rain with an orange umbrella
i did all those things
iii.
black and white and red
that's all you wear
whatever happened to greens. and yellows
and blues
what happened to real colours?
iv.
you have created you own little world and drug
me there too. tied me up till i promised to stay
what a stupid promise
i want out of your world of blacks and whites and reds
what's wrong with earth?
v.
today i am afraid of tomorrow
and i'm afraid of not making it there
and that i'll be forgotten after i leave
not enough showers will be able to wash away
these tattoos of your endless, tangled words
