the days from your calender. more stars shine than
you care to look at. instead your counting footprints
in wet cement. will you hear the drum roll before your
name goes unannounced? too bad you weren't there to
see the spotlight fade. keep that diary sealed with a lock
and throw away the key. no one can see what you have
seen. words will tumble from the pages making secrets
not secret at all. don't try and alter what has happened.
